The Kalita or Hario V60 pour over methods make a well rounded cup of coffee. These methods put you in full control of brewing a balanced, sweet and medium body cup of coffee. This is the perfect method for a quick cup of your favorite Kuksa Coffee anytime of day.
Coffee / Water Ratio:
32g coffee (2 tablespoons) / 450g water (1-3/4 cups)
Brew Time: 4 minutes
Optimal water temperature: 195-205 °F
Grind: Very Coarse
Step 1: Rinse filter
Insert filter and rinse with hot water to remove paper residue and pre-heat vessels. Discard water.
Step 2: Add coffee
Add 32 grams (about 2 tablespoons) of ground coffee.
Step 3: Initial pour
Submerge the coffee in 100 grams of water, then pause for 30 seconds to let it bloom.
Step 4: Add more water
Gradually pour the remaining water in circular motions until all 450 grams have been added.
Step 5: Remove dripper
Once the coffee has finished brewing — ideally around 3:00 to 4:00 — discard the grounds.
Step 6: Enjoy
Enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.
